Has anyone seen the El Dorado 15 year rum in store yet? They usually have it in at Xmas I think
I thought I'd seen in in my local store, but it appears to be a crappy 8 years old now.

Yeah saw the 8yo last week. Have you tried the 12 year old? Lovely smile

To be honest I'm not much of a drinker, decent stuff is wasted on me. I buy the Galahad lager from Aldi smile

Anyone spotted the Jefferson's small batch Bourbon, in any Aldi branch as yet? Its conspicuous by its absence in my local branch ( Bretton Peterborough)

Can give feedback on a couple of the wines. Volpolicella Ripasso (£7.99) Not bad, but not a repeat buy. "Good" Ripasso tends to head in a few pounds upward of this price, which may be a clue.

Chinti Classico Reserva (&8.99) Not bad at all, in fact a good tipple. Give it a try.

Now then, where's that Bourbon?

Think the Leg of Serrano Ham is on offer tomorrow (if the staff haven't had it first)

What is the Smoked Salmon like and does anyone know the price / qty for it?

Might have to pop back for the ham tomorrow. Somebody was asking about the caviar when I popped by earlier.

Got myself a pair of rigger boots, box of tea, bread rolls, sandwich filler and 72 nappies for junior SB, all for £19. Bargain!!

There was a stack of hams in the Devizes Lidl last Saturday, no one seemed that interested in them.

Lidl salmon caviar is well worth the money at £3.99. The same size jar is on sale at Waitrose for £2 more and it's no better quality.

Lidl black lumpfish caviar though... Not so much. The stuff is cheap enough anyway.

They've had the Small Batch whisky in at my local Aldi for a couple of months now. It looks nice.

Not finished the last ham, very good.
Wild Danish smoked salmon good. Heavy(ish) smoke.

If it's apples then I think the word is scrumped, not stollen.

Why would anyone steal apples from Lidl anyway?

It may fill a few trolleys!
I'm charged with getting wine and starters for Christmas Day so most of the spend will be on that.
