Cooking Competition #21 - Bacon.

I thought we could go back to one ingredient this time. Maybe to get more than three entries in!

So nice and simple using the most versatile of all ingredients. Bacon.

Simple or gourmet as you wish.

I'll accept variants of, i.e. parma ham, pancetta etc.

Normal rules - Cook one main dish. Post up to four photos including ingredients. Entries in by 22:00 on Monday the 19th March. Poll will run for about a week.

I have a good chance at this one, bacon and egg sandwich so simple yet perfect for any meal or snack.
Just got to perfect it and by the looks of the pics coming through on recent posts, i better take bloody good pics too.

Spoilt Pig bacon for convenience but I generally like an oak-smoked Wiltshire from my local supermarket, sadly the local butcher seems to produce that awful water-filled stuff that poaches itself.

Ours is the same. Excellent butcher for everything else, but his bacon is not the best.

Plenty of other places to get it though.

I feel a wet cure started this weekend, then smoked on the BBQ. Eat it straight off or allow to cool and cut into chunks with some sort of veg.
