I've been watching a'lot of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives recently, so I thought I would put together a dish inspired by our cousins across the pond.

Meatball ciabatta sub with spaghetti in tomato sauce.

Tomato sauce - Onion, Garlic, Carrot, Celery, Red Pepper, Paprika, Passata, Parsley, S and P.
Meatballs - Beef mince, Chorizo, Smoked Bacon, Paprika, Cayenne pepper, Red pepper, S and P.
Sub - Ciabatta, Chorizo, Meatball, Tomato sauce, Mozzarella and Parsley garnish

Before going under the grill.

Plated.

Right I'm going to start the ball rolling..

I cooked this last weekend and photographed it. I didn't like the results that much, not in taste. It actually tasted lovely .. I love it. But in terms of how it looks, its a bit simple, I thought being PH's it would need to be more adventurous or meat based. Maybe next time.

As I won't get time to make anything else or photograph it.. and there is no other suitable thread to post it in.. I'm going to put it in here anyway.. so.. here goes.

A very simple pasta dish

Its a variation on Jamie Oliver's Spaghetti Puttanesca. I don't like spaghetti so I used fettucini.

De Cecco fettuccine all'uovo is the dry pasta.. I think its one of the best.
Cans of Tuna in olive oil
Anchovies
garlic
Passata
pitted black olives
chilli
lemon
flat leaf parsley
olive oil

Anchovies, olives. tomatoes, chilli's garlic.. all sweated and broken down, add tuna and stir, squeeze fresh lemon in to taste.

Mix in Fettucini and torn flat leaf parsley

Carefully plate up a child's portion to photograph

That looks superb Gary. Lovely shots too.

May I ask what camera you are using?

You have my vote.

Can't take credit I'm afraid - I saw Jamie Oliver doing it for his 30 minute meals.

Great photo, but it's hardly fair to describe the £1500+ EOS 5D as "a simple Canon"...

Its relative I guess, I always think of the DSLR's as point and shoots,

The flip side being a lot if not most of the pictures on here are taken with an iPhone. Its just easier smile
