They have released this recently which converts your weber into a pizza oven that can cook a pizza in 4 minutes.

Not cheap at c£119 on-line retailers.
I got one of these at Christmas to go with my Mastertouch that I mentioned above. Now both sat in my garage still yet to be used!

I've been meaning to try my ordinary pizza stone for ages but haven't had the courage.

Hand in your man badge when the door hits your arse...

wink

Been plenty of opportunities for a winter bbq. Roasted chicken on a Sunday, or pulled pork for lunches through the week is bloody awesome!

I once used an inch thick 12"x12" paving stone on my weber, worked a charm

I have a small but not very good excuse. We've been having an extension built and the garden has essentially been inaccessible. Admittedly I could have done it on the road out the front smile

I'll consider letting you off...

We had a renovation over four months last year, the Weber was a lifesaver to use instead of the camping stove whilst we didn't have a kitchen.

I have actually done a bbq on the front drive, although that was to provide protein supplements to people doing a big walk around the village for the local lifeboat station. Brisket was more popular than pulled pork.

I have the gourmet system but was too tight to spend the 40 notes for the branded weber stone.
I brought a cheap one for £18-00 with a loose wire frame which makes it handy to place on the grill after pre-heating the stone in the oven.

Only tried it a few times, but I found it quite tricky.

I think the arrangement of the coals is key. If the stone is too hot, you just get a solid crust and soggy topping!

Two things to note: Unless you throw a bit of wood on for smoke I don't believe you can taste much difference & the bottom of the pizza stone is absolutely immaculate even after a few cooks, which shows how clean bbq fuel really burns (Assuie heat beads FYI).

I've just added a second Weber to the stable... needed a small BBQ for our caravan so had a play with the Smokey Joe and Go Anywhere. Liked the inherent portability of the GA so ordered one! Looks like a very tidy little bit of kit.

Oh, had to buy a mini chimney too cool

I have a Go for camping. It's pretty good, have used it at home if I want to do a steak as well.

Keep trying to convince myself I don't need a GA, we already have a Smokey Joe for camping but it does take up a lot of room in the trailer...

Anyone seen any good online deals for a 57cm Original Kettle?

Best I've found is £135 at bbq world... but had a look at their site and can't work out if trustworthy or not... Looks a bit scammey.

Use the GA a few times now, it is really excellent and so convenient to carry around.

£126.94 from Partridges including next day delivery. I've used them before for two weber barbecues.

I've had a GA for a couple of years - really excellent portable bbq. I don't find you need to bother with a starter either, just position the lighter blocks under the raised coal grate, keep the bottom vents open and bob's your uncle.

Recently purchased a Weber Performer. The gas lighting system is pure genius.

Hot charcoal with a press of a button.

Looks good! I'm still trying, but haven't got it right yet, I can't get the top to cook.

How long did it take to cook?

Did you use the lid? If so what position did you leave the vents in?
