My premium cover has been on all winter outside and still looks brand new. Looks like you were cheap and paid the price smile
I thought I was avoiding being cheap by buying the proper Webber cover! There weren't any other more expensive options!

This. I bought the only cover in the garden centre - a proper Weber one. Given the quality of the BBQ I'd expected the cover to last more than 18 months - iirc it wasn't cheap - 29.99?

We've had our cover for 11 years this month and it's still perfect, never once been in the garage. Only problem I have it keeping it on when it gets windy.

Anybody want to suggest a reasonably priced alternative?

This conversation reminds me why I went elsewhere for a bullet smoker...

My ProQ Frontier Elite uses the same quality materials, has some improved features such as temp probe grommets, and comes with a few excellent quality accessories - including a high quality cover...

Was nearly a hundred quid cheaper too.

I still rate Weber, and the kettle I've got is utterly superb, but they don't half take the piss with add ons and accessories.

Fifty quid for a cover? You're not joking.

Took the words out of my mouth. That's nuts. It's a 3rd the price of the bloody bbq.

Not bothered with a cover for mine, had it for just under 4 years now. Some surface rust on the lower bowl handle but that's about it. Didn't see the point in spending £50 on a cover when the one touch kit was only £150

Lasted 7 years so far and looks like new. Still think its expensive for a bloody cover.

Not bad.

Is it elasticated/weighted on the bottom to stop it blowing half way across England everyone time someone farts in the garden?

Well my thermometer broke and so I am getting rid of half of ours and just using the bottom half

To be honest it is not built that well, rather a Viper than an LFA. It did the job though, in it's prime it could do this and more.

PS Yes I did do the 12 hours of cooking a huge pork shoulder for shredded pork.

I'd not done that much basting since i was a lad with a copy of Club international under the bed sheets.

If Dyson could do a smoker / BBQ ... hmmm? scratchchin
