Oooo interesting.

A couple of weeks ago I minced my own meat (insert joke here) and made my own burgers, like wot that there bloke Heston did on his TV show; making all the meat go the same way, wrapping it in clingfilm and then chopping it sideways to create the burger. I didn't get a picture of it finished unfortunately, but this was the before;

They came out really nicely, I was very chuffed. However I used excellent sirloin steak (£30 worth) for about 10-12 burgers so it wasn't cheap. I'm doing some more for this weekend and using cheaper meat, but hoping the effect will still be the same.

Burgers simply seasoned and cooked right - then the "user" can do what they want to it - cheese, onions, sauce etc.

Haha, we had the Fishes (Lisa and James) down the weekend prior and they brought their two boys, so we stocked up on slightly more child like food. They didn't eat it all and so my lunchbox for a couple of weeks resembled a 5yr old's. I rather liked it biggrin

Forgive me if this is not the case, but to me those look very much like some burgers I saw on MvF which involved using a glazed Krispy Kreme instead of buns, no idea how it would taste!

You are not mistaken they were indeed said glazed doughnuts, it works quite well with the saltiness of the bacon and charred meat combining with the sweet bun, i'd have them again!

But anyway this is now off topic as they don't count.

I made these which sort of resemble burgers last night, the pics don't really do them justice though...

Lamb burgers made with lemon juice/zest thme and garlic served in a wrap with sour cream and a side of greek style cous cous.

The burger wrap - I'd say that's worthy of an entry.

Its a challenge to be creative, a burger doesn't mean it has to be within a traditional bun as such.

Yes of course.

If you mean the beef patty, then no that was bought at the butchers.
