How much is Fish & Chips where you are?
Discussion
Hanburys in Torquay is the chippy I visit the most.
Not that cheap, but it's won loads of awards, gets fish from just round the corner in Brixham and, on a nice day, you can go and eat it on Babbacombe Downs looking over the sea.
If any of you are ever in South Devon I can't recommend it enough.
BTW - they call bits of batter 'scribbles' down here. Confusing for a Sheffielder (where we call them scraps).

£7+ for a large cod and chips. Not cheap but its within sight of the boat that landed the fish as the guy that owns the trawler owns the shop as well.
You would think it would be cheaper then -Michael- said:
I once had fish and chips from a chip shop in Kensington.. cost £9! was st as well
I went here last time I was in Londonhttp://www.gigsfishandchips.com/
Very disappointed I've no idea how it scores so highly on Tripadvisor. All i can think of is that londoners have no idea about tasty F&C.
It was flipping £12 as well
