A good friend brought one over for us from hong kong but we now need a bigger one. the current one is a fab panasonic but not available in the UK. i would love to get another one but larger but cant seem to find one apart from the US ebay.

any ideas or alternatives?

and for those that have not tried one yet - get it done! they are amazing

I'm in the US, you can buy them anywhere here, and I would have thought you have a higher density of Asians in UK

I have a teensy-tiny Judge rice cooker - I agree, they're ace.

I suspect the earlier poster was making referance to the fact that a lot of Asian food is served with rice, and therefore places which have a sizeable Asian population there is likely to be a demand for rice cookers. I could be wrong though.

I now covet this rice cooker. how sad am i.
A fellow PHer has one. I saw it and was converted.

It plays a little tune at the start of cooking (twinkle, twinkle, little star) and another I can't name at the end.
