The best lager on sale in the UK, suggestions please

My favourite tipples are abbots ale or other real ales but I much prefer drinking Belgium beers. Chimay, leffe, straffe hendrick is my favourite or duvel. Holland makes a good beer called le trappe. Sadly they're all too strong for regular British pubs (think of all the fights) but some places specialise. You can get le trappe on tap in the house if trembling madness in York for example. We're talking 8 to 12% beers though.
I can drink Stella and other lager but can't touch fosters, Heineken or carlsberg. That stuff is at the McDonald's end of the fine dining world!

My vote goes to Tyskie the second greatest thing after ladies with nice bottoms that Poland has given us.
Has a nice almost buttery taste to it,very drinkable and no headache in the morning that I seem to get with Stella.
+1, I love Tyskie, and also Ockocim. In fact most of the Polish lagers you can get in your average London off license are pretty good, even the strong ones that are like 7.5% taste pretty good and don't seem to hard on the system. I rarely drink draught lager in pubs any more but when I do tend to stick to the imported ones i.e. Amstel, Heineken etc as I find UK-brewed stuff to be pretty noxious most of the time. In clubs it doesn't really matter as it usually mostly tastes horrid no matter what you order.
