Comp 26.

Cook a dish with the theme of the Summertime using the ingredient of booze. Preferably beer, but can be substituted for anything with booze in it.

The dish you prepare must be a dish you have never cooked before, or use an ingredient you have never cooked with before.

So if you have never made a Black Sheep flavoured Kangaroo burger on a BBQ before this is without doubt the competition for you.

Any entry will be accepted, so don't be shy to enter. If you have never cooked anything before you are at an advantage. wink

Entries can be cooked over the next few weeks and you must post your entry by 01:59 BST on the 28th of October.
Edit to extend the deadline. Entry in by midnight on Sunday 4th November. (GMT)

4 pictures max including ingredients and a final dish including cooking details and how it meets the strict criteria of the competition.

Any deviation or vaguarities will be debated at length by the three joint judges - Pixel-Snapper, Shirt and Myself - who will inevitably take a ridiculous length of time to decide anything.

Voting will run for about a week from the closing date.

Have you been speaking to Ness about my idea rage ? We may hit a couple whilst we are on holiday and this would be an efficient use of the road kill.

It was going to be a Bundaberg batter too !

Bugger laugh

I did something new the other day, as a co-incidence & wondered after if it would work for this.

Back to the thinking board

I've just read your Lemon Meringue Pie thread - did you try with the vinegar?

By sheer coincidence I'm about to start preparation for something cocktail based that I've never made before. Should be complete by tomorrow or Sunday. Might be in on this.

As a side note do beverages count as entries should they require an an amount of cooking?

Why not? Stick the pictures up.

Good use of booze, drinking it.

Gretchen, I think the "rules" are you can make and post, more than one dish, but can only enter one for the comp. I may be wrong ?

Sounds right. One entry, but post away.

As we are a little light on entries would it be a good idea to extend the deadline a bit? I'm thinking at least to include Sunday, but maybe an extra week?

I have been moving house, but could get something done over the next few days.
