Coffee machines - whaddaya know?
Discussion
My daughter wants a coffee machine for Christmas but we're not sure which is the best route to go. My wife says get a Tassimo but I'm not sure about whether to go for a filter or bean type machine. Budget will be a consideration, I don't want to spend a fortune and also convenience for her will be another.

And you won't have wasted a fortune if it gets used twice and never again.
Makes a cracking cup of coffee, too.

Yeah, pretty different. Here's how it works. It comes apart in the middle. There's a funnel that sits in the bottom part. You put the ground coffee in that. You fill the bottom part with cold water, assemble it, and put it on the hob.
As the water in the bottom part boils, steam pressure forces the hot water up the funnel, through the coffee and into the top jug section.

I realise the principle is different but I assume the end product is the same for a similar amount of effort. Here's how it works. It comes apart in the middle.
