Home made chilli (and lots of other stuff) beef burgers topped with lettuce, tomato, red onion and grated cheese, a tortilla wrap pinned to it and grilled for about three minutes so the wrap just starts crisping on the edges and has hardened to shape.

Served with sweet potato oven chips sprinkled with paprika.

It looks a bit lost on that plate but it was filling enough.

Valentines night had to be deferred due to business reasons beyond our control but I managed to catch up tonight. Killed two birds with one stone though as tomorrow this will also be my entry in the "Curry Competition".

A fully home made Thai curry with red pepper, squid and scallops, black rice and Thai spiced and panko breadcrumbed aubergine slices. A nice Languedoc for me, red roses and a chilled Sauvignon for her, all good so far!!
That's a very nice combination, I don't eat Thai much but I'd have loved to been their as the gooseberry !
Thai is our favourite curry but we normally just open a jar of paste, for the cooking competition I made my own paste for the first time and it actually smelt and tasted pretty authentic.
The breadcrumbed spiced aubergines were an adaption of something else I have seen and I will definitely do them again in other variations as they were delicious.
Check out some more pics on the Cooking Competition thread, better still put an entry in.

Bodeans Boss Hog Platter

Chips were immediately sent back as they were a tad al dente and not hot

Price has gone up quite a bit. Used be £34.95 for two and is now £24,95 per person. There is no way that plate is worth £50

That's a touch undercooked for me but looks delicious nonetheless.
