Leftover Pulled Pork and Prawn Pho.

I made this with a homemade chicken stock to keep it light, and went slightly Thai with the lemongrass and kaffir lime leaf.

It was so delicious :-)

This is my take on pulled pork - cooked slow in the oven for almost 8 hours.

18 month old leg of lamb found in the back of the freezer. The lamb was reared by a friend of mine in Dorset and tasted fantastic back then but a tiny bit dry now.
Served with mint gravy. Bootifull.

Nice! I thought it looked a bit dry for pulled pork; see in the recipe you omitted the BBQ sauce which would be why. Looks great - just different from normal (and I think I would actually prefer it the 'dry' way).

Also - in your recipe it seems a bit premature to preheat the oven before leaving the meat to marinate for 3 hours! hehe

When I'm trying to brown the fat on two or more steaks or chops and still want to carry on prepping other stuff I use these

Place all the meat side by side with the fat on the bottom (as if the meat hadn't been cut into steak) then clamp the tongs on either side sliding the metal hoop up the arms to secure them in place.
Hey presto brown away no handed.

Took the OH to this place

Buffalo mozzarella ravioli with yellow tomato sauce with marjoram, friggitelli peppers and Cantabrian anchovies

(yes I ignored the chip)

Steamed sea bass fillet, panzanella and herbs salad

With a calvados as a digestif

wine was kolbenhof gewürztraminer which was lovely.

No desert as Im not a massive fan of what was on offer.

Took mrs 2cv to the witchery in Edinburgh last week, very cool place indeed loved the decor. Food was ok, but expensive for what it was IMHO. No photos again cos I am a tool.

That looks damn good...

I feel that the East London steak co. could be getting some of my cash very soon! Good website and not extortionately priced for what looks to be top quality meat.
Can anyone tell me why they changed their name?

I'm very fortunate that their shop is next door to my office.

2 rib eye steaks for dinner.

Other half wanted dauphinoise potatoes, so my input was steak, naturally!
