Another attempt at a low carb dinner and a slight detour from the diet for dessert laugh

I'm not normally one for taking pictures of my meal in a restaurant, but this one warranted a special exception.

From the Palm Springs branch of Outback Steakhouse: A 20 oz. Porterhouse steak and a jacket potato lavishly topped with bacon and sour cream. Fork included for scale - this thing was the size of a small dinner plate and I think it had its own gravitational field too....

Ive had a fair few steaks in my time but this was easily amongst the best - medium to well done with just a touch of pink, but so incredibly moist and succulent that I think I might have had a small "crisis" whilst eating it licklicklick

Is it sad that I knew where that photo was taken as soon as I saw it?

Recognised the plates, salad and the little breadboard they put that lovely little loaf of bread on.

The Melbourne Porterhouse is the one I always go for, but first a bloomin' onion.

I've never made a dessert yet!

Yum.

One of the perks of being a regular is that you can vary the normal takeaway menu from time to time.

My local pub does takeaway fish & chips. If I ask nicely, they'll do sausage & chips, steak baguette & chips, ham egg & chips, steak & kidney pud...

Coincidence.

Looks a lot like my breadcrumbed effort from last night.

Home made chicken parmo.

Made my own breadcrumbs, the lot.

Turned out really well, should have taken photos really frown

^^^that looks great? Pork loin on rice?

Is it national breadcrumb week?
Meat lollies (half breadcrumb/half rice crispy coated) & melanzane:

I feel suitably ashamed to post my pics in the same thread as some of the fabulous creations on here but it tasted good even if the presentation leaves a lot to be desired.

You've outdone yourself again PS, top stuff, and the pics are drooltastic! lick

Meaty deliciousness aside (because if I think about that glazed pork any more I'll have a trouser accident), your rice looks fantastic! What's the recipe for that?

Thanks Cali.

The rice was cooked 24 hours ago in a rice cooker and refrigerated. Chop any vegetables falsely small and wok over high heat, add chilled rice and break up, tossing to separate. Add desired quants of sweet soy, soy, chilli oil, shaoxing, garlic, sweet chilli or any other oriental seasonings you fancy.

Make a thin omelette, roll it cigar fashion and slice thinly. Add to rice and serve.
