There have been a few articles recently, basically anyone under about 35 will have bugs (unless rich) as their main source of protein before they die as the usual meats are unsustainable.

Not looking forward to it! Recently I’ve been trying to cut the amount of meat I eat down and buy better quality stuff (I’m not rich) including 2 nights in the week as a veg only. Had a few successful meals and a few misses but if this is the future I’m going to have to get a lot better at vegetarian cooking!

I was in Berlin a few weeks ago and tried something similar. It tasted like slightly sweet flour.

Chapulines? Something you'd eat in Mexico. I understand, they're quite expensive too (due to rarity)?

Disgusting (bugs), in any case. wink

Tasted of nothing other than the sauce really, crispy nothingness.

Go to try it once and now that I have, I shan't be doing it again, boring food.

had lots of insects in Thailand years ago. Larva and crickets are good, the former like wotsits and the latter like crackling. The larger you get, the more likely you are to get a soft centre. I found. You don't really want that.
