Super fresh mackerel is amazing, it seems to benefit more than other fish from being eaten when straight out of the water.
Absolutely it does, carpaccio'd a few tonight with some lemon juice, salt and then just onto some really dry bread it was fantastic!! The rest are currently in the smoker.

Cross post...

Usually I do a dirty steak, but saw this different method. It works well, saves the ash on the steak, but the chargrilled flavour isn't as strong. Still bloody good!

Even Louis got in on the action! He got a few small bits for being a good lad.

Would happily chow down on that right now. I have just had a tomato and mozzarella salad.

I made a nice korma soup/curry mix.

Didn't get pics as she ate too fast and I didn't have my own due to broken tooth.

it was a cylinder of rice with egg plant poached in the korma soup, chicken (also poached) placed on top.

The soup/sauce was to be poured round the rice and a nan bread to mop up.

OH was impressed and will do it again with pics next time.
