maybe. Depends whether you mean healthy as in not containing 'bad' ingredients, or healthy as in containing a varied balance of many 'good' things.
When it comes to food, NOTHING is inherently healthy or unhealthy. It's only the amount and the frequency that changes the health factor. Every food you eat has some nutritional value.

People say parsley is healthy, but if you eat enough of it it will kill you!
People say a Big Mac is unhealthy, but if you have one once in a while, it's really quite a nutritious meal - bread, lettuce, tomato, meat, etc. Just don't have it three times a day!

yes i know that, hence the quotation marks. It may not make you fat, but that does not mean it's inherently 'healthy'. You could eat only an apple for every meal, and that wouldn't make you fat, but you'd be in the st pretty quickly. I thought that the "you must eat very simple food with no sauce or additions to be healthy" thing went away a few years ago, and we were all now accepting the "eat varied un-processed dishes with little sugar, but other than that you can add what you want, inc fats, spices, cheese etc., everything in moderation" advice. "low fat" didn't really work, and went away in the 90s. At home we eat a largely healthy, varied, colourful, cook fresh diet, often meat-free but probably slightly more often not. Booze at the weekend, occasional meals out. If that means I'll never be on the cover of mens health then who gives a st. Each to their own but i'd rather throw myself down the stairs than eat plain chicken and broccoli, and that type of thing on the reg.

Wow. Who knew a pic of some grilled chicken and steamed veg could stimulate so much content, eh?!

Well I'm pretty sure that particular meal was fairly healthy. I'm not sure you'd find an awful lot of people saying it isn't, so I'm a bit unsure of your point.

So you think that dinner wasn't healthy? Or was? Your point isn't clear to me.

Or was the point be be pedantic?

The point is that a single meal cannot be classed as healthy or unhealthy. If you only ever eat what's on that plate all the time, it is not a balanced diet and you will miss out on many of the vitamins & nutrients your body needs.

But where have I said that's what I eat all the time? It's a pic of one meal. A meal of grilled chicken, asparagus, fine beans, broccoli, olive oil and fresh lime juice.

Of course it can be said that meal is healthy, it can't be anything but.

Johnny, the point is, it's dry, plain and most likely tastes like an old boot. No offence of course. Healthy of not has nothing to do with it.

My other half makes chicken breast poached in Miso, served with pak-choi & boiled rice.
It looks bland as anything but actually tastes really nice.
Different strokes & all that...

Haha i think you're pulling my leg Pferdestarke but thank you anyway. Rustic, or knocked up in the kitchen after too much red wine might be closer to the truth
Not at all. And there's nothing wrong with the Keith Floyd approach to cooking at all.
