Braised beef short rib, caramelized carrots & shallots with red wine sauce. There was a tray of caramelized shallot dauphinoise there somewhere too.

Kept her happy last night anyway.

There's curried salmon burgers and Bombay potatoes somewhere to go with that lot but I think I could scoff all 13 and be happy with my dinner!

Yum yum!
Oh dear god, I could plough through those right now!

They're from a can smile. Drained, rinsed and then cooked along with the already sweated leeks.

Had some duck breasts to use up but hadn't bought anything to go with them so it was a case of "iffits". Bit of an eclectic dinner resulted laugh

Pizza last week - cooked in an iron skillet, inspired by "Franco Manca: Artisan Pizza to Make Perfectly at Home". Very good results, although dough method a ball ache.

Dough into the pan on the hob, left to cook a little, then topped (with sauce, herbs, chorizo, salami, mozzarella, cherry tomatoes and garlic, onions and peppers) and into the oven. Finished with basil and parmesan. Good crisp base.

Looks creamy. Did you also use stock and stir in cream or creme fresh

I'm very much looking forward to Sunday lunch today! Covered this rib roast in salt & pepper on Friday night and left it uncovered in the fridge. It's now out and coming to room temperature prior to roasting. biggrin
