30hr brined lamb shoulder, slow cooked in fresh herb and honey crust. Served with courgette and goats cheese layered stuffed tomatoes and lemon/saffron potatoes.

Interesting night last night. Pop-up restaurant at the village hall run by a Burmese chef.

Burmese tofu with tamarind, chilli and coriander sauce
Chicken satay with spicy cashew nut sauce
Glass noodle and mushroom soup
Lamb and coconut curry
Green mango salad
Green bean salad



Very nice indeed.

I have never been able to find veal in a suitable form to make it at home

I did mean to add that I use porked instead of veal! So it's not particularly authentic!

Ask your butcher for a cushion of veal or to cut from a topside for you. Veal is very, very cheap at the moment. Imported but not the old fashioned crated veal.

Ah... you is like me when OH cooks too much and puts it in the fridge... next day she doesnt want the same thing so I will eat it rather than throw it and usually its a waste of time freezing it.

I was being pedantic hehe If it isnt veal it cant be called a Wiener schnitzel because that has EU protected indication
