I've bought a paella ring and a big fk off pan. PH paella at mine anyone?

Excuse the shocking cooked prawns. I needed seafood but on a Sunday at 5pm it's hard to come by.

Leftovers. Poor mans surf and turf

I'm forever having to eat up stuff from the rest of the family, rather than see it wasted in the bin.
That is a sorry meal, did you not even have any toast with it? Who only uses half a tin of beans in the first place? laugh

I have never been able to find veal in a suitable form to make it at home
I did mean to add that I use porked instead of veal! So it's not particularly authentic!
Ask your butcher for a cushion of veal or to cut from a topside for you. Veal is very, very cheap at the moment. Imported but not the old fashioned crated veal.
Chicken or Turkey make a far better schnitzel in my opinion but that's just me!

anyone else here not a fan of wet or watery food? I think i am developing a real aversion to it. I think it has come from not wanting to get it all down the front of my work shirt / all over my face, but it has kind of generalised now. Particularly not a fan of wet food that has long floppy parts sat in the wetness. Just begging to slap my on the cheek or drop off the fork and splash... I reduce things right down now!

I like sauce based food but there is a difference between a sauce with body and soupy watery stuff which is grim. What I hate the most is "homestyle" curry where you have meat on the bone in a sauce. You just cant eat that without making a mess.

An aged and salted rump, cheat's sous vide in a 60c water bath for ten minutes then deep fried , drained and seasoned again, with jacket potato chips and a mustard, horseradish and mayo dressing.

I made a roasted courgette and red onion salad with orange dressing for dinner last night. I took a photo, admittedly it wasn't just a quick 'snap' laugh

You've spilt salt over the table. Careless.
