The fact that he will be there needing a spittoon to get rid of all those peppercorns... they are annoying no matter the lovely flavour.

It's very very good. They do the whole pulled pork, ribs, wings thing and it's known all over the world.

They were green peppercorns in brine so no spitting.

Did a bit of foraging today for elberberries. They ended up in a lamb shank pie under a suet crust.









Great way to spend the afternoon.

In all these years I have never cooked a fillet steak, normally ribeye or sirloin. So voila, my first attempt at fillet steak with port & stilton sauce, frozen chips and peas smile



I will be doing that again!

Been on a low carb health kick but still trying to eat nice things.



Pan-fried duck breast on spiced red cabbage with celeriac and gruyere dauphinoise, carrot puree, broccoli and peppercorn sauce.
