Thanks Burwood.

It's actually pumpkin, which I added to the pot for the final 30mins of cooking time.

OK, clever move. Never thought above adding vegetables late in the process. Avoids the stewing. It looks so good I thought you had been fine dining again smile

I did that with our potatoes for christmas dinner. I was slow roasting a brisket and added potatoes and onions to the pan for the last 45 mins or so. They didn't go like roast potatoes as the temp wasn't high enough, the texture was really soft and buttery and the tasted ace from cooking in the beef juices. They were sort of like a fondant potato.

Got the idea from a HUgh Fearnley Whittingstall recipe iirc.

I was recommended an internet specialist frozen meat supplier by a friend and along with some other interesting cuts I bought a couple of Wagyu fillet steaks.
Cooked them last night with some herbed sweet potato chips, tinned asparagus, a nice field mushroom and a stilton and madeira sauce, blooming lovely!

that induced spontaneous watering of the chops. Edited to add-i see you ate both fillets. What were they, 150-175g per?

Picked up a couple of pork chops from the butcher here in Dubai this evening.

Fancied a no fuss easy dinner.

Roasted in the oven with smoked paprika, garlic and olive oil.

That was mine and was nearly 170g, my wife's was 165g, I know the weights as I had to check them to decide which one to have.hehe

Mine was perfectly cooked for me and only mooed a couple of times on the way to my mouth, I cooked hers for about 2 minutes longer and it didn't moo at all.

I've still got a couple of Wagyu ribeyes and a Wagyu Chateaubriand in the freezer, pictures will be taken when they get cooked.
