Curry isn't meant to be wet
Don't combine chorizo and chicken in the same dish
no cream in carbonara (actually I agree with this one)
no brown in town
don't nose the fking stilton
etc etc etc etc

What I don't understand is, in the takeaway thread, the prevalence of rice AND noodles with Chinese.

Valentines night had to be deferred due to business reasons beyond our control but I managed to catch up tonight. Killed two birds with one stone though as tomorrow this will also be my entry in the "Curry Competition".

A fully home made Thai curry with red pepper, squid and scallops, black rice and Thai spiced and panko breadcrumbed aubergine slices. A nice Languedoc for me, red roses and a chilled Sauvignon for her, all good so far!!

That's a very nice combination, I don't eat Thai much but I'd have loved to been their as the gooseberry !
