I think you may have remembered Piglets flavour a bit wrong (well it was a long time ago hehe) they were Smoky bacon or Pickled onion. I never really enjoyed them, because they were so fragile you always ended up with half a bag of bits, funny I can still imagine crunching on those funny little hollow things....

What about these:
Well whatever flavour they were, they were yummysmile I know what you mean about a bag full of bits though, these always used to end up as a bag full of crumbs too:

I was reminicing about this only last week. Ginger Crunch with lemon 'custard'.

Apparently there was a petition to bring it back a few years ago, but Birds declided.

I loved these too.
I seem to recall a documentary, when it was said that these were invented by a couple of members of staff during their lunch breaks.
Could be rubbish of course.

Nando's crisps. It says on their website that you can get them from all well known supermarkets, but I've checked sainsburys, morrisons, Tesco, and asda (shudder)and I can't get them anywhere. I used to be able to get them from my local sainsburys but they haven't stocked them in a nearly a year or so.
Crisps available at Ocado on offer £1.50 a large bag

One of the old Findus, capn birdsarse type companys used to do frozen corn dogs, loved em as a kid , not seen them in years. Was like a hotdog wrapped in a fried batter that had a texture like compacted monstermunch. Anyone remember them ?

I'm afraid not, but didn't Courage do a Simmond's bitter? It wasn't very well liked IIRC. You could add Hofmeister and Skol to the list I suspect, and I haven't seren Harp for years, once everywhere, although a local pub still does Kaltenburg, which I'd not seen for a long time.

One sadly missed beer in Kent is Fremlins. Quite a distinctive taste, until it was bought by Whitbread, when it tasted like Whitbread. On the site of the brewery is now a shopping centre.

You can still get Skol in the supermarkets, I believe it is now a cheapo low ABV beer though.

Harp is still big in the States, as is Guinness's attempt at an ale, Smithwicks.

Have we covered Heinz Tinned Sponge Puddings?

They stopped the treacle ages ago, the chocolate and spotted dick continued for a while. Not seen for ages now.

McEwans Lager. Was horrible chemical tasting stuff anyway.

Tennents SD Lager. This was a shortlived "smooth draught" lager. Consistency of something like John Smiths or a Scottish "heavy", but was actually a lager. I had one pint of it, that was enough. I don't remember seeing it for sale in the supermarket, only in pubs.

Kestrel Lager. Disappeared in the 80's but apparently it is going to be resurrected and sold in Tesco.

Youngers Tartan Special. Do you still get that? It was the kind of beer your granddad would drink. I seem to remember it being sold in my local 15 years ago, but I don't think they have it now.
