I have a thing for buying polystyrene cartons containing things you add water to in order to eat them, what I usually lack is the ability to read what flavour it is or what potential horror lies within. It's like a noodle-based Russian roulette.
I buy similar products from a local chinese supermarket and generally go by the pictures as to what flavour it is. What i do lack though is the ability to heed the warnings of how hot they are based on the pictures of flaming chillies, some are ridiculous!

burger !!!!THREAD RESURRECTION!!!! burger

After waking up at ten o'clock today and coming to the realisation that McDonald's breakfast stops being served at 10:30 I had to figure out another way to satisfy my craving for questionable meat based patties and stodgy bread.

So I hopped on the 1992 vintage Peugeot bicycle and rode to the local shop where I had previously spied the alternative to the McDonald's breakfast muffins.....

I give you the Rustlers sausage muffin*

  • actually just the packaging as I was too hungry to wait to take a photo of the finished items.
I can confirm that they are just as excellent as McDonald's own muffins!

Same here, need two to make up for a) the lack of egg and b) the lack of relative filthy-ness of a McDonald's double offering.

Aldi do or at least did one with a hash brown in, one of those with a microwaved egg chucked in was quite nice.

I love toasties. But I'm fed up of spending £15 every time I want one.

Those things are impossible to clean without scratching the non stick surface!
You're doing it wrong, a quick wipe down with a paper kitchen towel whilst they are still warm is what they need. This method also 'adds' flavour to the next one in a couple of weeks time thumbup
Even with the molten lava all over the back of the thing?

Wonder if we've still got ours? Hummm, time to go shopping.
Indeed this, but no need to clean the thing. I must have cleaned ours once in 15 years. Adds to the favour etc.

To the guy that bumped this thread. Maccas now do breakfast till 11 now smile

Yep out the shell into a small bowl, quick whisk and nuke for 40secs based on 800/850W.

Not as good - for what it is - as however McDonald's do it, but a do-able addition to supermarket ones IMO.

Aye frying pan toasties are amazing. Don't have to worry about the the shape/size of the bread either.

There is something to be said for the unique crispiness of a breville toastie though.

I love a toastie every so often, when the current machine dies I'll going to get one of these -

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Morphy-Richards-Microwave...

Fully dishwasher safe and gets good reviews.

Without reason back through the whole thread, I’m not one for a Rustlers, but a microwave Chicago Town pizza isn’t beneath me.
I have been known to cook a burger as a filling sandwiched between a pair of them to act as the roll too laugh

I break it into a soup bowl (ungreased, no oil either). No need to whisk it - unless you’re making scrambled eggs. wink

Ends up looking like a fried egg, more or less. Don’t overdo it.

i always have a tin of STAGG chili con carne as a backup/last resort food. the heat levels are annoying though. the mild one has no heat, where as the chili flavour is just too hot (and i like hot foods). so i always end up buying the mild one and putting chili flakes into it.

i also love these

microwave for 50sec. I ate these like crazy during uni. high in cals, quick to eat and tasty.

Mashed potatoes with cheese and ham cooked in a hot sandwich toaster are delicious.
