I haven't been asked to supply a winners apron for ages, can someone mail me the winners details from now on?

My plan was the do "Fish n Chips" Pollock in a champaign batter with thick cut tripe cooked chips and pea pure.
Oof - that's quite the mental imagine.

I think this was a good theme, but maybe nobody had time to get a dish together. Could try a re-run?

OK, I've updated the original post with a new deadline of Sunday 28th April, so we have an extra month in which to get our entries in.

I could't really come up with something that fitted the brief that I'd really want to eat, so I'm not plannig on taking part in this one but look forward to seein the entries.

I'm going to be in Africa for most of next month, but will be doing some cooking whilst I'm out there.

I think I'll have a bash at that biriyani after all.

It's really good to hear this theme has been extended, I had a really nice and quite traditional dish planned and partially made but I ran out of time to complete it as March just seemed to disappear.

Half of it got pre cooked a couple of weeks ago and is now sitting in the freezer waiting for me to defrost it and sort out a couple more things, then I can put it all together and finish it off.

A bunch of us are at a friends place in Normandy for some serious eating and drinking over Easter but I should be able to get back to my dish in the middle of April, unless of course I find some more interesting ingredients over there and change my mind about what to cook.

Hmmm... I've got a fridge full of posh stuff at the moment...

I'll pop into ASDA and buy some of the cheapest bread possible tonight for Foie Gras on toast hehe

I had a go yesterday, but my posh ingredients weren’t really posh enough. Good food, but not worthy of the challenge. This one is harder than I thought …
