Dirty takeaway pictures Vol 2
Discussion
"King Special" kebab from a local bangladeshi takeaway. I wasn't quite satisfied with what I got as the doner meat and the chicken were a bit chewy, however the top-middle reddish thing which appeared to be a sausage was quite spicy and delicious. I have no exact idea what the ingredients are as the menu didn't say. It was so big that they gave me it in a pizza box and it dripped grease all over me as I walked home. There's another bangla takeaway which does much higher quality kebabs in a unique fashion here but they are nowhere near as filling as these ones. I infact left some of it and reheated for lunch the next day haha

fk me, that looks like a giant turd that's been sat in the blazing sun for 2 months.
I feel a bit protective about Rusholme Chippy as their food is lovely BUT we definitely need to get someone there who can take a decent photo - my photos (and, with respect Jimbop's) don't do it justice.jimbop1 said:

Haha thank you! I've been compulsively taking photos of takeaways even since before I found this thread and site so it'd only be fitting to make a post on here Pferdestarke said:
We deserve to see your back catalogue don't you think?
Haha you're on Here's one from the 1st of this month..Istanbulli pizza, which is cheese jalapenos and sucuk to my knowledge..
Here's yet another kebab, much cleaner than the first I showed and a lighter portion but the quality is 5x higher.

Where exactly is this chippy in Rusholme? I have to go there for work sometimes and normally grab a Subway for lunch but I'm tempted by these massive 'babs you keep posting!
I would say it's about half way down Wilmslow Road (The Curry Mile). If you are coming from the City, look for the parking sign on your right hand side, it's a few down from that. This picture was taken from outside it. I recommend going on a warm Friday or Saturday night so you get the full atmosphere of the road.
This review sums up Rusholme Chippy well....
'The Rusholme Chippy is not a chippy at all. Yes they do serve some English food but despite the name, which has obviously confused so many on here, it is the place where you will find the best Kobeda Kebab in Manchester! They've been serving these mouthwatering kebabs for over 30 years & were the first to do so in the area. The kebab is a minced lamb sausage style much like a kofte kebab, but infinitely better and is served on fresh naan with salad and extremely tasty sauces. For those with a healthy appetite, try a double - highly recommended!
I hope this has cleared up the situation & will lead to other kebab lovers like myself visiting this fine and long-standing establishment.'

Not quite sure how it works but if they have "called" Eid then it will be in mental there tonight. The decor is all part of the charm. It's look very clean in the important areas with all the prep area and fridges on show. This picture was taken from outside it. I recommend going on a warm Friday or Saturday night so you get the full atmosphere of the road.

Yup, it's Eid in Manchester so steer clear of Wimmy Road tonight! I've yet to go down on Eid but I have heard plenty of interesting reports, seems the old bill clamped down on it a few years back now but you still get a few morons. I like the run down nature of some of the establishments around there, a few of them look like crap but the food is amazing. Need to sort out the kebab crawl at some point soon.
