Gyros!? Gyros = on holiday.

If you live anywhere near an establishment that offers a Gyros then you've become a minority.

Place in Guildford on my list to try; not a 10 minute walk though frown

Talking of gyros.

I managed to pick up the gyros spice mix from a shop in town yesterday.

Going to make some this week.

Don't usually do takeaway but was near Jerk Junction in Manchester today. Anyway; Curried goat with rice and pea. Delicious!

First time that I've tried it. Much rather drive a few miles down the road to Hartleys instead.

An entire ~2 kilo ham hock, smoked on a wood pit at a street food festival and all mine for just HUF4500 (£11).

Fork and large coke for scale.

It took me a good half hour (not helped by flimsy plastic cutlery) to finish it, and I didn't feel especially good for a few hours, but finish it I did!

On Monday this week I emigrated to Dubai. Have had a few nights out this week, and been to some lovely eating esablishments. Tonight I have had a night alone, catching up on some admin with a few beers, knowing I spotted a kebab shop in the cab on the way home last night around 01:00 that would be open. Been looking forward to it all evening.

So after a 10 minute walk there, and a 10 minute walk back this is what I ended up with. A nice bag:-

And a very average "waffle" kebab! Approx £7 (39 AED).

It actually tasted ok, but was very small, and a little odd....... On the way back I spotted another shop, so during my first 45 days in this accomodation I am sure I will try at some point and post back if any better. There is also another one 15 mins walk away I also spotted in cab last night as well, so at least I have some choice!

That why it's 1.80 it's the bits that fall behind the machine that get swept up everynight
