Haha, good spot. I'm fairly certain they are beef. Some south east asians have a thing about calling beef and lamb "meat" instead of specifying what it is.

This is our usual place for parmos https://www.facebook.com/pages/Delicious-Parmesan-... think it was one of if not the first place to offer parmesans. Few other places have started doing them but not got round to going to them yet, this place is by far the most popular though

Let me guess, salt and pepper wings with chips? Quite a few people I know have recommended Fortune Cookie to me, yet to try it though.

I'll give that Parmo place a try at some point soon. I tend to end up in Shimlas or Leeds Road Fisheries when I'm in Bradford.

Theres plenty of cheap takeaways up north. I've lost count of the amount of fried chicken places I've visited where you can get a chicken burger, chips and a can of soft drink for under £3

To be fair there are a load of dirty fried chicken places around in London, I can't fathom how they can sell chicken, chips and a can of coke for under £3. I don’t eat at them.

Probably doesn't matter if they make a loss on the food if they're being used as fronts to launder drug money.

Why would they lose money?! It's cheaply purchased frozen food. Small portions too.

Not necessarily. I've seen a few that make the burgers from fresh chicken breast. They seem to work on small margins but high sales.
