It's a long time since I've enjoyed elephant leg that has that crisp outer part, most of the local places I use seem to carve it during the day then store it in a warmer all night. Yummy!

Cardigan Fish Bar on Cardigan Road do a grilled donner, the meat is grilled with onions and peppers. Not tried it myself but I've heard good things about it plus it's Istanbul Donner which is made with cuts of beef rather than questionably sourced meat and filler.

Last night i had a mighty bucket for one, under that topping of large beans and gravy with a corn on the cob resides 2 pieces of chicken 4 hotwings,and 2 chicken strips and chips. It was fantastic ..... that worktop needs a wipe..

Cardigan fish bar is really nice. cheap too. Fat Tonys at hyde park near the cinema is spot on too. Noticing most folk in Leeds now make a point of using Istanbul donner meat.

It was tasty as fk! Not so good the next day though, the chilli sauce had a real kick to it.
