We had something similar at work last week along with this

Several kilos of fresh Istanbul Donner. I don't eat meat donner as a general rule but was happy to eat this since its made from actual meat.

I haven't had any takeaway filth in about 8 weeks. That all changed this evening. I went out for a tea time pint and picked this up on my way home about 5 hours later. Even in my drunk and hungry state it was grim. The meat all tasted the same in that it had no taste. I could have been eating cardboard, an old shoe and a bath plug covered in chilli sauce.

The rabbit food was nice and crunchy though.

One terrible mixed 'bab,

Rabbit food looks nicer than the 'bab!

Had a mixed grill from the usual Lebanese place last night -

Sadly not as good as it used to be. Mainly because the skewer of lamb pieces gets substituted for another minced lamb kebab skewer.

It really did hit the spot. Asked them to omit the donner meat and sweetcorn as I don't either either. 15% discount was handy too.

Yup, it's near the clock tower. I did indeed demolish the food outside, on the seafront

I was too hungry to pause long enough to take a photo but I had a couple of "new to me" things from my local at the weekend.

Lamb Bombay Night
Cooked with spinach, potatoes & minced meat, fresh tomatoes, garlic, ginger & chilli. Chef's recommended dish. Medium hot.

Nice and rich, nicely spiced and just a squeeze of lemon away from being a near perfect curry for my tastes.

Staff Rice
I had no idea what this was going to be but took a risk in the hope it wasn't full of fruit - ended up being kind of a "special fried rice" with chunks of chicken, spinach, keema and other bits and pieces. Presumably the name comes as a result of it being a decent meal for the staff.

I thought it was just the spinach that was making me extra regular at the moment... you could be on to something.
