All unpacked, the tikka wrap was like a meal in itself. Just out of are 4 bhaji. Couldn't eat it all so there is a plate left for my brunch tomorrow. Had better curries before but for £15.50 it was excellent.

After a night in the pub I've got a special kebab hopefully in a naan and kebab pizza on the way. Pictures to follow if I don't fall asleep!

Only 2. As it was a meal deal I assumed they would be smaller portions, they weren't! Leftovers will be in the microwave in an hour or two.

Damn my mate. Just having a pint with him wondering what to do for dinner and he told me about a new kebab place that's apparently amazing. I might have to try it tonight now!

Also I've just realised that my picture above could look a little rude! I now know where the phrase "badly packed kebab" comes from!

While I'm posting here you might as well have another pic of last nights kebab - here is the money shot;

Monday night takeaway for me and the Mrs. Moved to Nantwich area over a year ago, it's taken this long to find a decent Indian - second order from there in a week.

1 X . Keema Pilau Rice () - £2.70 £2.70
1 X . Chips (Regular) - £1.60 £1.60
1 X . Jalfrezi (Chicken Tikka) A dish made up of fresh green chillies, green peppers, onions & mixed ground spices
Hot - £6.20 £6.20
1 X . Keema Naan () - £2.50 £2.50
1 X . Chapatti () - £0.90 £0.90
1 X . Karahi (Chicken Tikka) Specially cooked in korai, oriental spices & herbs

Came with free Onion Bhaji, Bombay Aloo and poppadoms, which made for an impressive amount of food. Plate in the pic is a relatively standard 10-12" dinner plate with about half of mine on it. Never had Keema rice like it, amazing.

Sounds like Spices (the free food) they do a good fish jalfezi if that's your thing. Naaz across the road is great for anything dhal related (they're all vegetarians)

Believe it or not, it's Flames on Welsh Row. Have tried Spices and wasn't impressed, eaten in at Naaz and although the Mrs liked it, I wasn't impressed there either! Indian Ocean seems hit and miss, and Basmati whilst nice was just average. Have also tried just about everywhere in Crewe. Was surprised to find that a kebab house did the best curry in the area, but had 3 from there now and all have been consistent and excellent.

You must be messin pal. Only go there for dirty chicken post Black Lion. Moved here a few years ago from Stoke and going for a ruby isn't anywhere near as good though so can see where you're coming from. For something really different the noodle bar along Nantwich road in Crewe is pretty good. Dare I say it this place struggles for variety (not the takeaway) a lot of the same on offer.

As you can probably tell, it's pretty much the last place I've tried. Whether it's been poor in the past I have no idea, but the few orders I've placed there have been genuinely good. Indian has been my favourite cuisine since I was about 4 years old, eaten it all over the world, and would rate this up there. Extremely strange given its kebab shoppe nature - hence being a last ditch effort but glad I tried it!

The cucumber was imported from Europe, they (ok I) like that stuff, got some funny looks at airport security.
F&C from a chinese-F&C combo joint on the outskirts of Macclesfield after landing at Ringway, lasted 20 mins in the hire car before crave-purchase was made as knew waiting until Ashbourne was physically/mentally edgy.
Consumed them at the Cat and Fiddle admiring the mist.
Normally would have gone for a pub lunch there but the list above is strictly adhered to in order of priority.
Sir, pop into Wrights in Manchester City centre if you can. Jolly decent F & C!!
good shout.

Waters green fish bar opposite the train station in Macclesfield is very good too. Worth knowing if you pass through regularly.

Doner calzone with green chillies rather than my usual jalapeños tonight, a nice change but my shirt has a grease slick down it now.

Is that a cheeky puree I see at the top of the plate?

Manna from heaven when topped with king prawn chaat as a starter.

It is sir. A prawn purée. The prawns were the weakest link but I agree with you on their bigger brothers.
