Can anyone recommend a good kebab place in Bournemouth that delivers to BH8?
Bournemouth here, BH8 too! The best ive found is noor which is on castle lane, near the kwikfit, sadly dont delivery, but well worth the walk/drive.Effes and pamir are ok.. they are on just eat, not a scratch on noor though.. Sadly there isnt really any good kebab places that deliver anymore, used to always use chicken land in charminster road, which closed a year ago, tried most places since then, and noone compares.
I tried a new one last week on Charminster high street 'Smile kebab' opposite Starz Diner and just down from Bournemouth Bedding Company. I have the special mixed kebab, lamb kofte, lamb donner and chicken shish and large chips. Was very good will be going back.

I still can't get over how cheap takeaway food is in other parts of the UK!!!
It hurts when we have to visit family in Surrey It wasn't until I first met Mrs Tapeworm that I finally understood how Pizza Hut, Dominoes etc can stay in business - up here they are 4 or 5 times more expensive than a decent takeaway option but down south everyone seems to have jumped on the overpricing bandwagon.

Yeh we have just kind of accepted it as the norm' these days. I pay around £8 for a chicken donner at my local kebab house. If I want chips its another £2! The prices are quite bizarre down here. For example, I live in Clapham and can easily get cheap kebabs/chicken/pizzas etc. I work in Camberley (Surrey) and the nearest kebab house to my office charges £7 for a small shish I think. Go over to Reading and you won't pay more than about a fiver for a decent mixed kebab.BrabusMog said:

Pricing based on the postcode perhaps? Type of location, type of area, wealth classification etc.littleguy said:
I got a donner last night (no pics) from Paradise in Longsight, Manchester. It was £3 including a can of Rio. oh and it was on a naan. None of that pita bread nonsense they try and pull down south.
I'm not sure what I'd expect for £8 in terms of a kebab!
Haha at the opposite end of the spectrum I wouldn't want a kebab with a drink for £3 around from around here! God knows what you would actually be eating!I'm not sure what I'd expect for £8 in terms of a kebab!
