OK so here is last night's effort. Was meant to pick up Soov Jr on my way home from work, but he was having such a nice time he stayed where he was, and I fell into the kebab shop on the way home.

ABC in Saffron Walden.

Large King Mixed Kebab - chiken shish, lamb shish, lamb doner, lamb kofte, salad and pitta (no nan sadly). £8.

Before (at just under 3lbs)

After

Was delicious.

Incoming, since it's been a st day and i've spent too much this week already!

1 X . Mou-Chak Chicken () Hot curry cooked with honey & creamy sauce - £6.85 £6.85
1 X . Mushroom Rice () - £2.55 £2.55
1 X . Keema Naan () Stuffed with minced meat - £2.15 £2.15
1 X . Mixed Starter () Chicken & lamb tikka, seekh kebab & onion bhaji - £3.85 £3.85

Had all but the mixed starter last time, and it was fantastic.

Should come with a free naan for spending over £15 mon-thurs, but last time it didn't come - not that I need it!
Other than the soft bhajis it was top notch! Curry lovely, very spicy, but a little sweet and slightly sour - mega flavour. Polished off the lot somehow, including the second naan!

And some pictures of Tuesday lunch chicken doner bab wrap - pictures don't do it justice - it's the best kebabby I've found. Hadn't been on the rotisserie long being lunchtime, so very fresh and tender.

Their homemade garlic sauce/aioli is the bomb - and I think the source of the little grease thats in it. I'm sure it's be totally lean when i've had it without the aioli before. Of course, end of the wrap saved for mopping up the goodness.

£8 sounds like a bargain. £10 at my local for a pitta with only 3 meats in it frown

As a comparison an extra-large lamb donner here in Newbury is £6 (pitta not nan). Probably would be £8 is they offered a mixed option. Definitely cheaper 'oop north' it seems.

It's a bowl, a Denby Monsoon Veronica Pasta Bowl to be precise, 25cm diameter.

The handle on the fork is a bit oversized too so it makes a meal look more like a snack smile

Luckily McDonald's charge the same price up and down the country, so I didn't have to subsidise anyone this morning:

Judging by the lack of "broon soss", I'm guessing that you weren't in Edinburgh?
