When I said try Chuck's in hatchend, I take it back. Went back there again yesterday and possibly the worst paid meal of my life!

Avoid at all costs!

I would put X Burger, in Willesden up there with the best.

It is not centrally located, nothing fancy in terms of setting or decor, but the burgers are fantastic!

Epic thread bump!

I'm in London next week for work and fancy a dirty burger. I'm leaning towards Meat Liquor but have there been any new places that popped up since the thread was last commented on that people would recommend?

Red Dog Saloon in Hoxton, I was there a few days ago and the burgers are top notch, well worth a visit smile

Another vote for Bodeans.

Omogus, im in Virginia Water so yes please.- If you like a good size burger and are starving then head to Ceasers in Leatherhead.
Been to Bodeans twice and to be honest, I thought the food was pretty poor and burger king produced better food.

Anyways. I haven't got much to add to this thread, but shake shack in Covent Garden is worth a visit. The Thirsty Bear in Waterloo is good too.

Meat Liquour was not worth the queue. Most of places in the top ten burger list for london don't let you book. Its a real pain. Red Dog diner lets you book. I didn't enjoy my recent visit there. I think my burger would have been better if they had served it hot! Their puddings were also quite poor.

I do love a good burger, but my friends are becoming picky and will only go to places where they can book frown

Don't know whether I commented before, but Meat Mission in Hoxton Square produces huge, juicy burgers. There is an app, "burgerapp", that will show you the closest burger joints with ratings.

Pretty sure it was free when I first downloaded it.

£2 to be directed to the best burgers does not feel expensive to me.

Meat Liquor and Meat Mission are part of the same group.

Meat Mission was disappointing. Toss up between Lucky Chip and Dip & Flip at the moment.

All of these are good, but I'd also add Burger and Shake near Russel Square, they use potato buns on some of their burgers and they are something else!

I may be biased as Lucky Chip in Dalston is a 2 minute walk from my flat, but it's one of my favourites, as is Dirty Burger which is a mere 10 minute walk from my work. I've visited most of the others on more than one occasion though.

Kudos

Burger and Lobster much better than Meat Liquor. Liquor was full of trendy hipsters and their crap beards and too short trousers

Patty and bun or honest burger - the rest are meh, meat mission is the same as meat liquor anyway, same group same menus basically.

Don't mind Honest Burger, but the last couple of times I've been the meat had no flavour at all (different branches too).

Burger & Lobster burger isn't worth £20.

Nothing is worth the £20 at burger and lobster, especially not the burgers.
