I've seen the one in Uxbridge and it never seems to be busy. Is this to do with the price or the quality of the product. Any way I tend to stay away from places that don't seem to be popular!!
Went here too. I do not understand why they put a massive one there. For something like five guys outside london you definitely need ease of access - free parking otherwise the place is going to be bare. In watford next to tesco extra theres a restaurant that no one uses, a five guys there would make a fortune.

The Guildford one never seems that busy, perhaps I'm going past at the wrong time, however the first and; so far, only time that I have been was a Friday night before the cinema and it was quiet, so I would have thought it would have been a busy time.
The Guildford one is also very big.
Went to the Guildford one yesterday. It was packed to the doors. Burger was good, chips very good but the price and the waiting time would make me think twice about going again. Need a better alerting system for when your meal is ready. The Guildford one is also very big.
I went to the Guildford one a while back, the drinks machine is excellent but it seems bloody expensive for a basic fast food burger and chips. The chips were definitely better than you'd get from other fast food burger joints but not as good as you'd get in most pubs. Certainly not good enough to justify walking past Wagamamas (next door) to get to.

Or GBK opposite. They have those drinks machines in the big Burger King on Ladymead.
One advantage with 5 guys is a medium chips is more than enough for two to share and the drinks have unlimited re-fills so when we went, me and the wife shared a drink too, still cost the think end of £20 though; for 2 burgers, medium fries and a drink.

So what's it like?
One is coming to Edinburgh and everyone seems to be walking about with their dicks out? Can't say I've ever heard of them before.
I know a lot here have mentioned price, but personally I think it's not a bad price for a jolly good burger.Basic menu, good choice in toppings, burger looks "rustic" but tastes delicious. Unlimited refills from a huge choice of soft drinks, they have Brooklyn beer (not unlimited, mores the pity!) and as has been mentioned, medium chips are enough for two. I vote for cajun, but both are good. One is coming to Edinburgh and everyone seems to be walking about with their dicks out? Can't say I've ever heard of them before.
Been to both the Guildford and Bristol one in the space of a week.
Guildford one was empty - the guy still yelled when my order was ready. The spicy cajun chips taste great. Thick end of nearly £17 for the bacon cheeseburger, regular fries and a drink.
Bristol one is still relatively new - packed to the brim, and as mentioned, they need a better alerting system, rather than just yelling FIFTY THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE loudly.
Free peanuts are a nice touch.
Burgers are very good, though. I quite like the hot, steam, melted cheese meaty ball type of burger that they do, as opposed to a massive tower type burger with a stick that you get elsewhere. McDonalds really is at the bottom of the ladder in my opinon thesedays.

One just opened up in leeds, damn tasty burger, peanut oil to fry the chips in = genius!
Place was rammed, clearly in the honeymoon period where people go nuts for it, much like the opening of Krispie Kreme in birstall
McDs chips are better. Place was rammed, clearly in the honeymoon period where people go nuts for it, much like the opening of Krispie Kreme in birstall
I feel mugged having paid eight quid for a cheese burger. At least I didn't queue...

I haven't has 5 guys for 6 months. It is pricey but i suspect the franchisor is whipping their PNL. GBK next door in Guildford is a better proposition and about the same priceSmelly Sox said:

I'm not adding much to the conversation but I popped into the one in Milton Keynes this lunchtime.
£17 for a burger, regular fries and a milkshake. £17.
"Man, this will easily be the best burger I've ever had if they are charging these sorts of prices" I thought to myself as I waited for my order to get called.
It wasn't. It wasn't as good as a double whopper from BK. The milkshake was nice but overall I felt like I'd been taken for a wker, which I suppose, I had.
