Even the "Extra Extra" Hot Sauce isn't that hot.
To you, perhaps not. To me, it would ruin the food and make for an unpleasant taste experience. This obsession with really spicy hot food is very odd to me.

Modern day chicken in a basket. I have no idea why people get so wound up about Nandos.

£15 a head "with a drink" is not cheap.
How do you eat out with (semi-)table service and cutlery for less than that? What's your secret?

It's easy, don't live in London.

(Easier said than done for some, I admit)

Quite a few restaurants around Manchester that do lunch or "all you can eat" for a tenner smile

A chicken breast for a tenner, a whole chicken for 20 quid is not exactly cheap. It is on a par with a lot of mid range places. In reality its just fast food dressed up with small bit of table service.

Chicken breast is £4.25

Premiership footballers in Swansea are regularly seen in Nando's. It is funny when you look up Wind street and see a Merc SLS and a 458 Spyder parked outside a stty Nando's hehe
This is kind of my point, I know we all fancy some junk / comfort food every now and again but if you can go anywhere you want regardless of cost why would you choose it. There must be somewhere better to eat than Nandos in Swansea!
Money doesn't buy class, and I don't mean that in an elitist way, most prem footballers come from common as muck backgrounds and having grown up with the idea nandos is a treat, just because they could buy the restaurant today doesn't change that..

What is a bit sad is that people who can afford buy the restaurant worry about getting cheap fast food for free.

The only thing I don't like about Nandos is when they sneak a leg into the quarter chicken instead of a breast ranting

Always insist on breast. wink

I was really hungry one day, so I ordered 20 quid's worth.

Leg >>>>> Breast.
Quality of meat over quantity.

With the Swansea players I think its the attraction of free, convenient, reasonably healthy food, close proximity to the bookies and allows them to be centre of attention by parking their Aston/SLS/Ferrari in a busy street.

In fairness to them, I see them regularly in Versuvio's (Pizzeria) so they must also appreciate fine (& unhealthy) food as well.

Vesuvio's is pretty good. Haven't been there since before the stadium was built.

My point was that they are parking cars with a combined value of over half a million Pounds outside a bloody Nando's then using a card to eat for free. It is a little bit daft and also a little bit funny.
I'm not understanding this funniness at all, sounds like typical English small-mindedness, the similar nonsense applied to what car you drive - doesn't really exist much elsewhere in the world.

In Singapore and Thailand where I work, you'll see millionaires sitting down to eat street food, considerably cheaper than Nando's. In fact they'd be proud of their frugality.

A thinly veiled insult based on an incorrect assumption of nationality.

Does that happen often in Singapore and Thailand, where you work?

I bet them millionaires pay more than the footballers (and rugby players that do similar) in Swansea! wink

Shhh.
Don't go dispelling any preconceptions...

So, you all you can find is 'lunch' or 'all you can eat'. I can't really see how either of these compares to a freshly-cooked, table-delivered dinner for £15 a head...

You're trying too hard.
