Hi all,

My father is nearing the end of a 7 week spell of Radiotherapy for prostate cancer having been operated on just short of. 10 years ago for the same thing.

I want to get him something special to mark what we hope is the end of it.

He likes a cigar but has boxes of them that will last him years.

I thought a decent bottle of whiskey / scotch would do the trick but I haven't got a clue what's decent or what the differences are.

I've been on the Waitrose website... Is this one a good choice?

https://m.waitrose.com/worklight/apps/services/www...

I'm happy to spend more if anyone has any suggestions.

I appreciate any help.

Thanks,

Steve

With my limited knowledge I believe he prefers a Scottish Whiskey over a Bourbon (which I always relate to Jack Daniels, I apologise if that's an insult).

I shall have a search for the one you suggested though. Thank you.

I don't think the link I put works... It's a Glennfiddich 15 year old distillery edition Speyside and it's £50.

I think I have a bottle of the Glen Fidich 15 years, is it in red leather presentation case? If so, it's a good one
