Me and a few mates spotted this in the news...

http://www.ctvnews.ca/business/is-pizza-cake-the-n...

...and decided to turn the dream into a reality. Last night, our pizza cake was born.

It was amazing.

But it actually looks nice and cooked all the way through.

The method that we used will remain a secret for the time being.

The recipe can be whatever you want. As there was five of us, we did a layer each, all slightly different based on our own favorite topping combos. It was hot and cooked all the way through and was genuinely delicious.

Might I suggest you budding foodies go and have a crack at it yourselves. Get a few mates around (beer is an integral part of the 'method') and have a slice each for dinner smile

Just curious.. why?

There are quite a few posts on here for BBQ rubs, wings, chilli etc. where the recipe is "secret"

It's not like you're going to be on dragons den with a pizza cake are you?

Or the others with their "top secret recipes" aren't going to be the next Levi Roots.

Not having a go, just find it a bit odd!

It looks pretty good by the way! smile

Looks brilliant but I can imagine it did not taste as good as it looks nor warrant the time taken to make it. Go on, admit it. Unless you love eating lots of pizza bases in one go.

Mind you, fair doos. Is doos a word? For this monsta pizza pie perhaps it should be fair doooos.

Well the original article suggested that the pizza cake was a concept rather than an actual product, so I would rather keep our method to ourselves for the time being (the photo looks a little 'too' good for a real product).

As for taste, it honestly tasted really great. The layers were combinations of mozzarella, pepperoni, chorizo, sausage, chillis, onions, olives, tomatoes and BBQ sauces in varying styles.

I'm sorry, I must be a bit hard of thinking....

Are you saying you think there's some money in the actual recipe you've come up with and you want to keep your trade secrets?

Not looking to ridicule... genuinely curious (it's been a long week, sorry if I'm being dense!) if you think there is good luck to you!

Cheers

(tempted to have a go at this on Sunday... fk the roast!)

Don't get me wrong, I want one a lot, but isn't it just eating a whole pizza but just in one lump instead of in handy slices? hehe
