What's your best ever kitchen purchase?
Discussion
American style fridge with plumbed in water/ice dispenser. Wife insisted on it when we did up the kitchen. I was dubious but went along with it for a quiet life.
Just the best thing. Has changed my life and probably prolonged it. Drink tonnes of iced water now, have virtually given up tea and wine (never drank coffee anyway). Have lost 3 stone, problem skin is as good as it's ever been and I'm no longer taking any medication for it.
However, don't sleep well as I drink water all evening and then have to go for a slash 3 times a night!!!
Neff induction hob is a close second. Superb.

So much better than any juicer or even powered machine I've ever used. They actually come out of the thing dry.
Used nearly every day. I've had it years, and I'm sure it was less than £10 to buy.
In terms of £/use, it knocks all other kitchen gadgets into a cocked hat.

Set of Global knives.
Just looked at these. HOW MUCH!!!!In laws are going to get me a G1 for xmas.
Agreed, if you by it just as a "set of knives" it is mentally expensive, a bit here, a set there, a another knife here, it's a bit less so.
Plus I do all the cooking so I like to make it as painless as poss.
And I'm one of those sick people that does all the prep first, then cooks.

Three things for me, and all very 'manual'. All of these are currently giving great service, and will be immediately replaced if they die.
Jamie Oliver garlic press. No fuss, no peeling - it just works.
Bialetti Moka. You can keep your fancy espresso makers (I've no room for one anyway), as this makes perfect coffee, every time.
Good Grips Mandoline. Has completely changed the way I prepare vegetables. Fast, easy and fuss-free.

Like the look of that mandolin, much better than the usual finger slicers.
Not bought ourselves but got a Kenwood Chef as a wedding present. Absolutely love it, dough hooks get a lot of use for bread making with far less mess than kneading by hand, pasta extruder for tagliatelle and spaghetti, mincer with sausage stuffing attachment, blender for milkshakes, spice grinder and a food processor that's way better than our old one. Plus the Mrs makes more cakes than she used to.

NEFF induction hob
+ the island on which it's fixed!
American style F/F with water/ice dispenser from LG
Nespresso coffee machine, a basic one
These chopping boards from Joseph Joseph at JL:
They (help) prevent me from chucking the nicely chopped stuff all over the hob!
And these, also from Joseph Joseph at JL:
Mixing bowls, measures, sieves, etc., all neatly stacked together and easy to pick the one you need when you've large deep drawers in your kitchen.
