Surprised Timothy Taylor hasn't been mentioned yet, award winning ales and you can see why.
Yep, Landlord is almost as nice from a bottle as it is on draught.

Collecting a "small keg" (36 pints or so) of Mordue Brewery Howay in a Manger on Monday.

Absolutely amazing stuff. Just hoping no-one else likes it...

Anyone mentioned:
Theakston Old Perculiar
Marston Owld Rodger (if you can find it) yet?
Lurvely.

It's alright (sipped many a bottles), so long as you don't pay a full price. ABV: 5.6% helps. wink
Going cheap in Tesco right now.

Can't comment on the second one - haven't tried it yet.

Purple Moose ales are good if you're in/passing the Snowdonia area, think you can get them online.
Always bring some home with me when we've stayed there, the Snowdonia Ale is especially good, as is the Glaslyn.

Owd Rodger is plentiful in offies anywhere in the Midlands (thank fook, as I bloody love a drop of it). If you like that, BTW, you'll love this :-

Very drinkable at 7.4 volts

£1.25 in Aldi, not on offer. That's the price.

Can only find Owld Rodger in Budgens, 3 for £5. Another good one in a similar vein is McEwans Champion.

Come on, finish the job smile
Old Pec is always in supermarkets and regularly on offer. A staple - dark, good balance 'twixt sweet & bitter.
Owd Rog much rarer. & stronger. Very rich & sweet. Goes well with spicy Indian. Think bhuna rather than vindaloo,

an ale with whiskey, very sweet but no bad and pretty cheap too, worth a try over xmas, nothing special but something different.

Marble, thornbridge, brewdog, goose island, franziskaner of the more readily available bottled beers are ones I buy relatively regularly.

Cans are making a comeback in craft ales as they're ceramic skinned now which apparently produces better results even than bottles, and doesn't taint over time. I remember getting really cheap late date cans when I was younger and they just tasted of metal. Apparently totally different now.

Sticks.

And me!

I quite liked it when I first tried it, but if I'm honest I wouldnt choose it.
I tried this and liked it, so bought a case next time I was passing. Several were cloudy so I didn't buy it again. It was on draught locally for a while.

This is by far and away the most refreshing summer beer I have ever had.

On a hot day: take out of fridge, put in freezer for half an hour, pour in a glass that has been in freezer for a good ten minutes.
Result: absolutely beautiful! biggrin

Depends on where you are....

It isn't made at the winery in Tenterden. Some made at Hepworth's but most of it made at Everards in Nottingham.
