Recommend me a bottled beer
Discussion
If you want to buy from Waitrose, I drank a bottle of the Curious IPA last night and it was lovely;

Another vote for Badger here too, golden, or the nettle one are very refreshing.

My first thought when I saw the thread title Some of my favourites:
All mass produced industrial filth.
Probably not quite what your average PH'er drinks, but I like them...
Not into Ye Old Rusty Dog Shirtlifter Brown Ale or whatever. My dad keeps trying to get me into Real Ale via pints of Loweswater Gold and similar. Not convinced yet

Waitrose stock Thornbridge Jaipur (ipa) and Kipling (South Pacific ipa). Both are awesome and excellent quality.
Don't overlook st Austell Tribute - one of my favourite breweries and a great session ale. Their proper job ipa is a great beer too.
Meantime do a chocolate porter if you fancy something rich and luxurious and also do a more old world focused ipa in 75cl bottles (fuggles hops etc).
Can you tell I like IPAs ?!

Jaipur is great as is Tribute, which is in my local Aldi at £1.25 a bottle at the moment.Don't overlook st Austell Tribute - one of my favourite breweries and a great session ale. Their proper job ipa is a great beer too.

Anything from this lot if you can get it. If you can't I'm happy to buy a couple a drop them off when I'm up in Stratford in a few weeks time.

Very kind but I couldn't put you to all that trouble. anyway what would happen if I really liked ithttp://www.rebellionbeer.co.uk

As much as I enjoy a pint of Abbots, I normally drink strong Belgium beers like Straffe Hendrick but there's only a few specialist stockers around me. I tried a bottle of Innis & Gunn oak aged, rum finnish the other day. I was really impressed. It's about 7% and has a lovely flavour to it. A Scottish beer I'd happily buy again.

Keep trying. I've finally converted my brother (aged 38) who's worked out he's been wasting his life. All mass produced industrial filth.

Thornbridge. Anything by Thornbridge.
Redwillow Brewery are another good one.
Quite partial to Thwaites' stuff as well - more like proper bitters their ales, which so few seem to cater for these days as they target the pale and hoppy market.
Hook Norton are another cracker - Hooky Gold is superb at this time of year.
Last recommendation for one of the big brewers would be Fullers. Contrary to above, I like Wild River. It's very much like Hooky Gold, straying into Pale territory but without being too fizzy or too hoppy like so many now are.
