Don't know if it's available countrywide (in Asda), but North Yorkshire Brewing company produce a nice bottle of beer called 'Flyin' Herbert' which is worth a try.

Can't help but notice there haven't been too many stouts suggested in this thread.

Here is a rather extreme example which I particularly like...

...and an even more extreme version which has arrived today. Hope I like it smile

26.1%?! Jesus, that's packing quite a punch. I'm guessing you don't normally have more than 5 or 6 bottles in a night? wink

hehe

That is exactly the problem with them - they are not what you could call a session beer.

Good fun though. wobble

I couldn't manage a 375ml of that assuming as it looks it's all in that glass smile, their website says to decant and serve in small glasses! I've been tempted to buy Mikkeller beers a few times, but seems just a bit too steep priced. That said I've bought To Øl beers a few times, and recently three bottles of Cantillon even (St.Gilloise and Lamvinus, I know the Americans get a bit over the top about them, but those were worth every penny).

The top photo is the standard Black (at a mere 17.5%) which lasted a good hour hehe - I haven't yet tried the Black Fist but expect it to be rather over the top.

To Øl are excellent but quite hard to track down in my experience. Cantillon are a class act and a true connoisseur's choice. beer

Indeed, I must have had four or five from Beers or Europe, but it's been quite some time since they've had more than one or two in (other than the nebuchadnezzar size bottle they'll never sell!).
