Due to not being able to get a replacement thermostat for our oven, It looks like I'm going to have to stump up for a new one.

Anyone got any recommendations for a built-in double electric oven?
Mrs uses it for cakes quite a bit so needs to be a nice even temperature.

I can recommend gorenje from Personal experience. Great features, quality and guarantees.

I've been really impressed with my Samsung oven. No hot spots, heats up quicker than anything I've ever seen, intelligent settings, self-cleaning etc.

I've got a Gorenje washing machine, so I'll take a look at their ovens.

Samsung only seem to do single-sized ovens, whereas I will have a double-oven hole to fill, so it looks like they are out of the running. Pity.

Not too worried about loads of features - our AEG has got about six cooking modes, of which I only ever use the Fan Oven setting. The super-fast grill is good though.

Are Pyrolytic or Catalytic cleaning ovens worth getting, or is it just a gimmick?

Have a Neff pyrolytic oven and wouldn't now buy a non cleaning oven it takes about 3hours including cooling down than a quick wipe to get rid of the ash.

Pyro is the way to go! Although double pyros are thin on the ground!
