Over-priced crap imo, just like TGI Fridays.

They put one up near me, went once, never went again, nothing special.

It is a bit overpriced, but I love the grub. Chicken, chips and chillies, what more could you want? yum

Which restaurant operating at a similar price point is significantly better than Nandos?

Personally I'd rather spend a bit more and go to Frankie and Bennys. The food is superb there.

The thing is: I can cook better food, cheaper.

If I am going to eat out, it has to either be better than I can do, or be cheaper than I can do.

Unfortunately my wife and kids don't share my views, and therefore I've felt obliged to abuse the Free Refill at Nandos in order to convince myself I'm getting value for money. My record is 8 Free Refills.

overpriced chicken canteen - went once in the UK and will never go again.

In portugal I went to one that was at a service station on the motorway, the chicken was stored in refrigerated drawers and was flat - it looked like it had been scraped off the tarmac outside on the motorway.

Interesting fact - it started out in South Africa, but then so did apartheid.

If you rigidly stick to that principle then you'd only either go to fast food joints, Burger & Lobster or Gordon Ramsay/Heston's restaurants smile

And I hope those refills were Coke Zero!!

F&B, probably the most overpriced and horrid food I have had the misfortune to eat. I have had better (and hotter) burgers in McDonalds.

The food is brilliant at my local F&B. I went to The Ivy a week before and thought F&B was better.

That's because the Ivy is where non-foodies like to go and splash out. There's so many better places for that price range.

Nandos = meh. Been a couple of times wouldn't rush back wouldn't avoid it. Don't see what the fuss is about.

F&B is horrid, worse than a TGI or shudder Harvester/Hungry Horse or any of the from a packet places. I'd rather eat in the spoons.

So what we're saying here then is that Nandos is frequented by lager drinkers rather than people who like their beer/food to taste of anything? hehe
