hehe

There's one I used to use in Deptford on the road to New Cross from Blackheath. Anyway, back on topic - as much as I love KFC, it's too hit and miss for me so I have to be *really* in the mood to risk having one. Their gravy is delicious though.

If they forget my gravy one more time I'm going on a killing spree.

If they ever substitute beans again I'm going to nuke them.

there was one time when i got extra hot wings - i ordered 4o on the side. someone put the 4 extra into the box, and i guess someone else put another 4 in a little bag. that was a good day. generally they don't get it wrong.

as for waiting, it's way quicker than a mixed kebab from round the corner which is a good 10-15 minute wait. i guess they have to up their game a bit as there are a fair few dirty chicken and other places along the oxford road.

Hot Stuff do a mean kebab! I am looking forward to moving to Reading, just hoping most of these places deliver as the Oxford Rd is quite depressing!

I honestly thought it was only mine. I've pretty much stopped going unless i'm desperate. For years they got my order wrong at the drive through, either gave me small fries when I went for large or end up fking up the zinger tower burger, once or twice I can deal with but every single bloody time.
Now I refuse to use the drive through, even if it means waiting longer.

They also usually seem to put the newer inexperience staff on the till which is a massive pisstake, last time I went, I had to wait for ages and a customer was arguing about her order, it seemed like cashier couldn't get her order right, anyway I got to the till to order my meal, I asked if I could get all the pieces as breast if it's possible to which the guy said no, but the same customer jumped in and said if they have it they have to give it, another argument started and it turns out the "customer" was from KFC head office, embarrassing stuff tbh.

A brand new KFC is being built in the North EAst, BUT.............they have built it 180 degrees out ( completely the wrong way round !). Obviously they had the plans upside down when they set the JCB to work. This error has meant the entire innards of the building have been re-jigged - water supplies, power supplies etc all needed to be corrected.

Huge cock up.

I would imagine the project manager is now looking for a new job.

That beats getting your beans missed off your order.

The KFC is still not open, and they have been building it for at least a year.

Think the title should read how dozy / dirty is your KFC.

Was quite I'll after consuming a meal from a local one and have since been thinking for some time how poor and dirty the facilities are at some of my local KFC eateries, generally needs some investment - SOON!

Next time you go just take a look at the washrooms!

Our local operates in slow motion. It also baffles me how they wait for the chicken to completely run out before starting to cook any more, even when there is a queue out the door. What do they think these people will be ordering?

On the plus side they forgot to ask for any form of payment last time I went biggrin

From this thread I am starting to come to the conclusion that my local KFC is the only decent one in the country. Yay me. biggrin

Sounds like a quality control measure.

i.e. you don't get odd bits from an 'old' batch mixed in with a 'new' batch. Otherwise you might end up with a piece of chicken passing through several cycles and sitting around for 10 hours or something.

A friend of mine uses the one near me sometimes on his way home usually to find he can't have what he wants. One time they'd ran out of fillets which is fair enough as it was rather late night. The best one though was when they told him they had no chicken at all. Why not just close up? Lol

The only real issue I have with them is how often the fries are cold and the consistency (literally) or the gravy. In some places its really nice and thick with meat juices in it and in other places its like water and other places still are some variation in between with quite a few being far too light in colour and just tasting like a chicken stock cube. I really wonder which is the right way of making it according to the real instructions.

Indeed, inconsistent gravy is the worst. I like it thick, almost like mayo.

Without fail when I leave KFC or McD's they will have got some part of the order wrong. I always stop and check contents (drive through) before driving away.
