Was in Normandy the other week and my pal persuaded my to have tripe for breakfast, it was a bit of a step into the unknown but it was actually rather good with a big chunk of fresh bread.
Had BBQ'd andouillette before and enjoyed it.

2007 we were in Provins and spotted a nice pavement cafe with a prix fixe lunch menu. Myself and thw kids had the steak hache et frites (can't go wrong)but the OH insisted on trying andouillette. I tried to warn her that it wouldn't taste good and that the mergeuz was a far better bet, but would she listen?
One bite was enough, the little rubbery bits falling out of the cut edge did it I think. I'll eat haggis, black and white puddings, molluscs, crustaceans, cephalopods, reptiles even but some things are just beyond the pale!!
