I'm interested, I'm off work that week. Is it going to be just the event in the evening or are there plans to do something more on maybe the Thursday afternoon or the Friday? I would probably get into town for Thursday morning, stay over in the vicinity of London Bridge and then depart late on Friday.

It's just the event. It's time consuming enough to arrange the tasting, let alone anything else!

That said it looks like a few people are getting a hotel - others live in London, so you may be able to arrange dinner / after whisky drinks - depending on people's plans.

Tbh, that's what I thought too - hotel In London Thursday and Friday night, early supper (or the vinopolis wine tour) and whisky on Thursday, then dinner and a show on Friday. Job done.
Normally this would have been the option - however we will be in Venice sipping Prosecco overlooking the Grand Canal !
Off topic - but don't those Venetians know how to charge !

Definitely up for this if there is still space.

There has to be some benefit to travelling into London everyday.

Got it thanks.

Payment on it's way.

I ticked the 'pay now' button so it should be with you shortly. If it doesn't materialise please let me know.

Thank you for checking. I appreciate your situation and thank you again for taking the time to suggest alternative arrangements. If it were a weekend then I would be looking into flights.

Checked the diary - no can do Podie - would have been good to catch up again.

Sounds like it'll be a good night though - have fun.

Boo frown

Real shame so many people can't make it, but often happens with these things.

Final bump. smile

Any more PHers?

I'm keen to get to 15 as the quality of the whisky increases quite significantly, so if no more PHers come forward this week, I'll start offering it out.

Thanks for sorting this. After further consultation with my social secretary and looking a the work plan, I am still a no. Hopefully if this one works well then there may be another in the pipeline?
