Right, well after browsing this thread a while back I decided to give the fish finger butty a go. All I want to know is how anyone can feel at all satisfied after having 5 fish fingers in a sandwich? I've just eaten 18 of the bds spread between 2 tea cakes with tartare sauce and I'm still hungry! It's like I've just eaten a Chinese buffet FFS!

I started off thinking i'd have a nice big fat sandwich consisting of 8 fish fingers in a big T-cake. 20 minutes later another 10 were in the oven to make an even bigger sandwich. The only thing that's stopped me is the 18 pack of Birdseye and twin pack of T-cakes!bobbo89 said:

Wee tip - get the fish fingers sorted, baguette (so you can get loads of fish fingers), stick it in the oven so it's warm, butter and tom sauce.
Thank you and good night !

I hope all the fish finger boffins here are checking their ingredients and % fish content.
I was shocked to realise that ASDA's own have a higher % of fish content than Birdseye and also use Pollock. I don't think Birdseye even specified from memory.
Top Trumps anyone?
Depends if you simply go for "fish fingers" or "cod fish fingers", similarly I always check the % of beef in burgers for the barby. So often they are 77% with additives. Only exception is where its salt and pepper though thats an awful lot if is then 99% beef!I was shocked to realise that ASDA's own have a higher % of fish content than Birdseye and also use Pollock.
