Greasy spoon nr LonBr/Southwark/Waterloo
Discussion
Anyone have any recommendations for a decent greasy spoon nr London Bridge, Southwark, The Cut, Waterloo etc? Needs to be open Saturday morning.
One of our number turned his nose up at Table stating you don't get enough food and it's too expensive. The rest disagree but for a quiet life...
Roast has been similarly dismissed, though he gets a bit more sympathy on that one.

Barbarellas on Lower Marsh is very good. Love the Wild Boar sausages.

Terry's Cafe on Great Suffolk Street is also good. But further south in Borough. Well, nearly E&C !
Mamas on Waterloo road opposite the ambulance station was my local for a while. Not as good as the other two, but nice enough.
As an alternative, what about Roast in Borough market. Will be mobbed however.

That's where they filmed the "tea urn" scene in Layer Cake...If you're in London Bridge, then surely you should head over to Borough Market - more superb breakfast options and fresh coffee than you can shake a stick at.
